Fulbourn Level Crossing Closure 17th March – 13th June 2025

FROM 17th March to 13th June inclusive, Church Lane and Station Road, Fulbourn will be closed to traffic. Only pedestrians and walking cyclists will be allowed through. IT WILL NOT BE POSSIBLE TO PASS THROUGH THE WILBRAHAMS AND ONTO FULBOURN VIA THIS ROUTE OR VICE VERSA.

During this time Cadent Gas will be renewing the gas main across the closed area. The area includes a level crossing and Network Rail has specified a complete closure for safety reasons.

The complete closure at the level crossing on Wilbraham  Road will mean a significant diversion . Residents of Station Road and  Church Lane will not be able to pass over the level crossing in a vehicle and those in the Wilbrahams and beyond will only be able to go as far as the Fielding estate and businesses close by. Again, cycles and pedestrians will have unhindered access. Access to facilities in Great and Little Wilbraham will be maintained, but to reach Fulbourn from the Wilbrahams, the diversion will be via the A1303 and the Quy roundabout. THIS will be clearly signed for all those coming from Bottisham, Swaffhams and places further north who might be used  to driving through the Wilbrahams en route for Fulbourn and beyond.
